Wow, what a game. We had the tying run at the plate in the last inning against a very good (batting) team. Thanka again to all of the parents who make my job so much easier and enjoyable.

What a fantastic game! What impresses me most is how focused and "grown up" the players are. I really think practice is paying off. We play these guys (the Stallions) 2 more times this season, so we are in store for some great contests with them. Thanks again parents for making my job so easy and enjoyable. Remember, practice this Tuesday and Yankee ticket money due on Saturday

I think everyone involved can say today's experience was very exciting. The kids were very focused, and pulled off some nice plays. Thanks again to all of the parents who made my job easier. As the season goes on, we will get better and better at what we do, allowing the kids to have alot more fun.

UNIFORMS

Here are the rules regarding uniforms.

8. All players must be in full uniform in order to be allowed to play, which must include a team hat and shirt (which bears a number that is unique to that player on that team). Only baseball or sweat pants are permitted. No shorts or jeans are permitted. Rubber soled athletic shoes with or without rubber cleats may be worn, metal spikes are prohibited. No watches or removable jewelry may be worn. Jewelry permanently affixed to the body can be worn provided, in the judgment of the umpire, that it is completely covered by a bandage / bandaid.

GAME DAY JOBS

Here is a list of game day jobs and their descriptions

First Base Coach-Maintaining order on the base paths during out at-bats
Third Base Coach-Maintaining order on the base paths during our at-bats
Dugout Coach-Responsible for batting line-up and general dugout order
Equipment Manager-Organizes bats and helmets in dugout, assists catcher with catcher equipment
Official Scorer-Keeping score using provided scorecard. Responsible for score and out recording (on the job training provided)
Parent Catcher-Backs up player catcher in order to keep the game moving
Parent Pitcher-Pitches to or kids when we are not using a player pitcher, or when our player pitcher is at bat
Snack Provider-Provides (relatively) healthy snacks, primarily at game's conclusion

Please read these when you get a chance. The rules are a bit more intricate in Pony League regarding outs, scoring, pitching and catching.

1st PRACTICE

Our first practice will be on Sunday, March 30th at 11am. Uniforms will be distributed at this time (rumor has it we are royal blue). Please come prepared to play, with mitts and sneakers/cleats. This is an important date, as we are set to start the season the following Saturday.
